Helping people to pay for a funeral
If someone is finding it difficult to cover the cost of a funeral, there may be financial support available. Our guide explains how to access money left by the person who died to help pay for funeral costs, as well as other options including government support, grants from charities and organisations, crowdfunding and other sources of financial help.
When there’s no one able to arrange a funeral
Sometimes, there is no one able to arrange a funeral for a person who has died. This can happen for many reasons, including practical or financial circumstances, or because there is no one close to them who is able to make the arrangements.
